She sat on the bench in the park, a trench coat wrapped tightly around her slim frame protecting her from the cold breeze. Raindrops fell on her eyelashes and dripped down her pale white hands. She closed her eyes and thought back to a happier time, a time when her family and friends embraced her and loss was nothing more than a distant reality. She hung her head in shame; her long brown hair falling like a veil across her face, hanging limp and damp against her coat. She remembered what it felt like to have someone run their fingers through her once immaculately kept hair, the soft loving touch of someone that truly cared.
